Joseph Emslie
Joseph Emslie is a comedian, writer and actor, hailing from Stratford-Upon-Avon, now residing in South West London.
Since starting gigging in 2016, Joseph has been the number one go to gluten free comic on the circuit. His easy conversational manner, anecdotal, and sometimes self-deprecating, style of comedy has helped him secure him some early critical acclaim by taking the runner up place in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2021, twinning this with his other final successes he really is “definitely a name to keep tabs on.” (Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke) In Edinburgh 2019 Joseph took a work-in-progress show, 'In Bread with Joseph Emslie' to the Edinburgh Fringe. The sold-out show received extremely positive feedback and featured on the front page of The Scotsman.
More recently, far from taking a break in the pandemic, Joseph took the opportunity to start, and grow, his TikTok account to over 15,000 followers, well over 1 million views and just shy of half a million likes on all his videos combined. He also co-hosts a comedy podcast called BillyJoeMates, found here, that takes comedians back to school to resit a subject of their choosing.
