Tom Toal is a comedian, writer and actor, hailing from the South East London town of Bexleyheath.

One of comedy's rising stars he performed his debut show On The Scrapheap about the break-up of his 6 year relationship at the Edinburgh and Leicester Festivals in 2010 achieving widespread acclaim and reviews.

The follow up Rom-Coms and Revolutions followed in similar vein playing to a complete sell out audience for the full run.

In 2013 Tom Toal performed at The Comedy Reserve with The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in 2014 TT became an Amused Moose Best Comedy Show finalist for his solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe show, Prequel. In March 2017, he opened gigs for Rob Brydon for some of Rob's tour across the country.

One of Tom's major strengths is his ability to adapt to his audience. Having hosted a range of events from Post Rock Bands album launch to benefit nights for the Socialist Workers Party, Tom has no trouble changing his style to suit the audience, whether it be Stag/Hen weekends, art centre events or corporate crowds.

Other

"Star of the first half was undoubtedly the charmingly ironic Tom Toal. T-Squared, as he calls himself in one of several supposedly hip third-person nicknames, has a quirky outlook and the gags to match. This quarter-Polish comic is softly endearing – enough to be able to get away with the story of a ‘barely legal’ girlfriend without it sounding creepy – and he has a fine sense of comic timing and rhythm, with one especially well-judged line causing a well-deserved eruption of laughter. The T-Dog is certainly one of the most promising of today’s emerging comics." Steve Bennett, Chortle

"Funny and touching. Winning over his audience with charm, genuine depth of feeling, and free tiny yoghurts, Toal painted an impressive, and at times, disturbing picture of a man on the edge. humour from the heart." ThreeWeeks

★★★★
"Toal's ease of interacting with the audience is a true talent." Hairline

★★★★
"One very entertaining show." ThreeWeeks

"His writing is similarly sure-footed, slick but quirky and eliciting good laughs throughout – and securing a shared second place on the podium for this precision-engineered TT racer." Chortle
